It took about a week of in-game play to earn the two-star celebrity status and she got two points to add to fame perks. She befriended a few two-star celebrities and would hit the town with them when she didn’t have a gig or audition. Being kind to others in public started adding to Venessa’s good reputation and as she unlocked another level, Sims initially had nicer initial reactions to her. Is your celebrity a sweetheart or are they a tabloid mess who fights paparazzi and starts feuds with other celebrities? You decide. Your Sim can also choose a good or bad reputation. Updating your social media status helps, preforming in public places helps, acting gigs certainly help.

While Venessa was working her way up to bigger gigs like guest spots on TV shows, I discovered more ways to add to fame (actions that help have a little fame note next to them). She completed an awesome performance which added to her career progress and fame.

Does she play them safe or be a little risky? For the the actions where Venessa’s skill was higher, I took the risk. Once the director calls ready, there are more choices. During this time she needs to complete actions like getting her hair and make-up done and practicing acting before telling the director she is ready to go. When the day of turns up she goes onto a huge interactive set. Now she needs to practice a few skills to get ready for her gig like her Acting, Fitness, and Charisma. The next day, Venessa disappears off screen for her audition but she nails it. You can attempt to befriend other celebrities, but it’s always easier when you are closer to their celebrity level. It wasn’t long before other celebrities started turning up along with their fans and the paparazzi. I found a commercial audition for Venessa, but she had to work on her Fitness skill to pass it so it was off to Pectoral Fitness to get her in shape. Having Guitar, Acting, Charisma, Handiness, Humor, and Fitness Skills appear to be the most beneficial thus far. The auditions happen a day later with the actual gig a day after that so you have some time to build up a skill if needed. You search for open auditions and see what skill level perquisites they have. Image via Electronic Arts.Īcting as a career is fun to be involved in. The last new household is that of Venessa Jeong, the blue-haired aspiring actress featured in the trailer. The Bailey-Moon family is made up of a power couple (Thorne and Octavia) and their son, Orange. These types of actions carry over into this newest expansion as well. Sims can die in a variety of ways other than old age and can get into very cartoonish “fights” with other Sims. Some clothing items are more revealing than others. When Sims are unclothed (such as in a shower) they are blurred. Teen Sims can “mess around,” adult Sims can “woohoo” or “try for baby,” but none of these acts are shown explicitly and occur behind other objects. As noted in Common Sense Media’s breakdown of the base game, the Sexual Themes and Violence are the bigger causes of the rating. The Sims 4 Get Famous is rated T by ERSB for Crude Humor, Sexual Themes, and Violence. A variety of new items and clothing also become available with this expansion. Manage your Sim’s career well and they can earn a legendary diamond of Starlight Boulevard. The new town of Del Sol Valley is also available through this expansion with new venues that attract celebrities, paparazzi, and fans. A new acting career lets your Sim rise up the ranks of a true star starting with small commercial gigs and then working up to TV shows or movies. A popular life simulation game, The Sims franchise allows players to play the life of people known as the “Sims.” In this newest expansion, Sims can rise to fame and earn the perks of the celebrity life (but also face the side effects of fame).
